Preliminary announcement. Take a look here if you are interested. Bloomsday Bathe on the Beach Fuengirola, Spain. 08:00 AM: Fuengirola, on the beach. Sunday, 16th June, 2013. SWIM! DIP! PADDLE! Join fellow Joyceans in Fuengirola for a Bloomsday Bathe on the Beach, followed by informal readings from Ulysses by James Joyce in English, Spanish, Swedish, Finnish or any language and a Continental Breakfast. This event will consist a non-intellectual, fun get together providing the opportunity to become fully immersed in –  sea water. This event is  FREE . You want to eat or drink? – That´s up to you! 07.45: Beach assembly. Black is Black January 7th to February 28th, 2013. Presented for your pleasure at galeria restaurante LUCIA, Fuengirola, southern Spain, near Malaga City seven black and white original one off charcoal images. There is a mixture of Abstract, Still life and Portrait interpretations. The original images are framed under glass but you can purchase reproductions from FAA in various sizes. Pomes Penyeach by James Joyce

Illustrations below by Roger Cummiskey.© Poems of James Joyce Shakespeare and Company, Paris, published Pomes Penyeach , by James Joyce, in 1927. An American, Sylvia Beach, who was a patron of Joyce, owned this publishing business and bookshop. She was the first publisher of Ulysses in 1922. Joyce also published 36 short poems entitled Chamber Music. I have painted a series of James Joyce’s Poems in watercolours using waterproof ink on hand made Indian paper where I have given the paper an aged appearance. Each painting is given its attributable date of the poems composition. The image above is the cover of the Faber and Faber edition. There are no illustrations in it. Tilly   by James Joyce The thirteenth poem, as in the Baker's dozen, from Pomes Penyeach. James Joyce wrote 12 poems that he sold for a shilli ng or twelve pence, hence the penny each. But in order to give good value he slipped in a thirteenth at no extra cost.
